Project goal

The goal was to create a downloadable PDF ebook for an online course, accommodating readability on various screen sizes. The original Word file had 181 pages, which expanded to 259 pages in the final PDF.

Approach

• Cover design: Designed an on-brand cover using existing assets to instantly convey the course’s essence.
• Consistent layout: Developed a clean and uniform layout for each lesson in line with their brand, considering style guides and website elements.
• Multilingual adaptation: Ensured design consistency for both English and Spanish editions.

A practical PDF course

The ebook is well legible on smaller screens, like a tablet. And the table of contents is set up with clickable links for easy navigation.

Each lesson also starts with its own table of contents. The title page has a full color background and features the palm trees which are a recognizable brand asset of Best Online Traffic School.

Free course preview

The complete ebook is for sale, but they also wanted to provide a free downloadable preview for interested people. The preview includes the first chapter and features a watermark “Preview” on each page which you can see below.
